Testing

Tests are conducted every two months throughout the year
(February, April, June, August, October, December)

Testing for "Green Belt and above" ranks are done only in the months of
February and August.

Any student who is under the age of 18, will be given a "youth" belt (indicated by a white stripe running through the middle of the belt) at the time of their testing promotion. Once a student reaches 18 years of age, they will be switched over to a solid colored belt.

Prior to testing, each student is required to write a short paragraph on "what karate means to them" along with their testing fee. These are both to be submitted to the Sensei before being able to test.

All testing promotions are at the discretion of the Shihan
